Reimagine a Future Built Environment with UK Timber
We are deligted to have won the open design competition; Reimagine a Future Built Environment with UK Timber. Through our collaboration with The Positive Collective, our entry reimagined how we could re-use home grown, low grade timber, into highly engineered panels to produce affordable regenerative homes. Our concept was ‘a tree for a house’ and how we can use a single mature spruce tree to construct a whole house including the structure, insulation, and joinery.
The competition was organised by GW4, a collaboration between the Universities of Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, and Exeter and publicised in the Architects Journal.
